| What More Do I Need To Know? | Making a Complaint |
|
If you have a complaint about any part of your mortgage, you should first write to your lender setting out your problem. They should then reply giving you details of any procedure they have in place to deal with your complaint. Having been through the internal procedure, if you are still not happy you can take your complaint further. Your lender will give you details of the regulatory body that they subscribe to. This may either be the financial ombudsman or the Mortgage Code Arbitration Scheme. Both of these bodies provide a free and independent service to consumers. In the event that your lender does not subscribe to either of these, you can contact your local solicitor or the Citizens Advice Bureau for more help and advice.
